If you prefer to navigate electronically, the GPS coordinates to our homestead are:
33° 12' 45" S | 19° 8' 10" E
IMPORTANT: Please only turn on your GPS once you have entered the town of Tulbagh.
Activating it too early may direct you to our neighbour’s farm, there is no road connecting their property to ours.

Gate Access & Check-in
We are currently testing a new gate system with AI cameras on our main access road.
The bridal couple was requested to submit vehicle registration numbers in advance.
If your registration has not yet been submitted, please send it to us as soon as possible to ensure smooth entry.

Blue Butterfly Guests will find their keys at the group facility.
All other cottage guests will find their keys in the wooden-glass key case at the Homestead area, along with directions to their allocated unit.

Arrival Procedure:
- The first gate will open automatically if your registration number has been received.
- The second gate requires the keypad code: 1098#
- Once inside, follow signage to your allocated accommodation or to the venue.
Day visitors:
- May enter from 07:00
- Must leave by 24:00
- Guests leaving after 00:30 may be charged a stay-over fee
Overnight Guests:
- Check-in: From 15:00
- Check-out: By 11:00

Speed Limit on the Reserve
Please note that the speed limit on Welbedacht is 30 km/h at all times.
We have zebra, springbok, wildebeest, ostriches, tortoises and other small wildlife roaming freely. Animals often cross the road unexpectedly, especially early mornings and late afternoons.
Even if the road feels quiet and open, please drive slowly. It keeps the wildlife safe, reduces dust, and protects the peaceful atmosphere of the reserve.
This is their home first, we’re simply sharing it.

Noise & After-Parties
In accordance with venue regulations, amplified music at De Dazzle concludes at 24h00.
Overnight guests are welcome to continue socialising after this time. However, sound levels must be reduced and may not be audible outside of the venue area.

Loadshedding
You can check the schedule under the Tulbagh (Witzenberg) area.
The venue operates on generator support.
Cottages have emergency lighting and gas stoves.
Bringing a torch or portable light is recommended.

Pool Information & Guidelines
We have heated fibre pools for your comfort.
Heating is usually only activated during the colder winter months. During summer, the natural temperatures in the Tulbagh Valley are often more than sufficient.
If you would like the pool heated outside of winter, please let us know in advance so we can prepare it for your stay.
For the protection of the fibre shell and heating system, the pool temperature may not exceed 30°C.
We kindly ask that guests:
Do not jump or dive into the pool
Do not stand or sit on the pool equipment
Supervise children at all times
These guidelines help us maintain the pools in excellent condition for all guests to enjoy. Thank you.

Smoking & Fire Safety
Fynbos burns extremely easily, so fire safety is very important to us.
Fires are only allowed in designated areas.
No smoking inside the cottages or in the veld.
Smoking is permitted on the stoep. Please do so responsibly.

For this reason, we kindly ask that you do not leave cash for firewood, breakages, or individual tips.
